If you've been following over the past month or so, you'll know that I
was involved in a Downton Abbey swap via the Subway Knits podcast. I've
shown you all some of the items I've made, though not all, but now that
I've gotten my swap package and my partner has received their swap
package, I thought I'd take you through what I received (I'll talk more
about the package I put together in a later post). It was an awesome
swap and super fun and I definitely plan on participating if Maria
decides to run it in future years.
First--Here's what I received from my swap partner:
Intrigued? You should be! Let's talk about all of this below.
The
package I received was wholly fantastic, I have to say. My partner was
super great about picking out things according to what I gave her as my
particular taste, my characters, colours I loved, etc. Everything was
wonderful and I didn't find myself at all disappointed with anything I
received. In fact, I wish I didn't have so much hard-and-fast deadline
knitting going on so I could have cast on for a cowl/hat with the yarn
she gave me, since it perfectly matches all three of my spring coats and
is the softest thing I can imagine having against my neck and my head.
Let's break this all down!
Very lovely (SO SOFT) amazing yarn. Knit Picks Andean
Silk--Alpaca/Silk/Merino. And the colour is such a beautiful, lovely
green.
This
hat. I wish you all could feel how soft the yarn is. It’s
beautiful and really reminds me of something the ladies of Downton would
wear out. I couldn’t help myself and put it on
even when it was -15F for my trip out to our local art museum the day
after my box came (I was mostly in the car) because I simply had to show
it off. Now that it's spring and actually starting to warm up I've been
able to wear it out and I feel so sophisticated and fantastic in this
hat. Love it. Love the colour. Love the style. Love the yarn. She actually designed this hat, so it's her own design and you can now buy the pattern on Ravelry.
This tea is AMAZING. It’s every bit as delicious as it sounds like it
might be and it smells even better. I think I’ve had some nearly
every day since this arrived. So, so good.
Heart shaped tape measure (how cute!!), a soak sample, much needed
locking stitch markers, especially since I somehow managed to lose the
full package of them I bought less than a month before these got here.
I’m excited to try the Soak. I’ve been using Eucalan, but want to
explore options.
Gluten-free, dairy-free, corn syrup free candy! I don’t know how she did it, but Jonas and I are both sure glad she did!!!
I love everything and this package made me so incredibly happy. I
don’t think I can ever thank
goodstuff enough for putting this together for me!
Stay
tuned and I'll walk you through the also amazing package I put
together! I'm good at swap packages. I take that biz seriously.
